Park and ride

Six reasons against a city hotel

Hotels in the old town are expensive, cramped and noisy – and the car park costs €25 per day extra. With us you park free and you're still in front of the cathedral in 10 min.

10 min to the old town

Via the bypass – no stop-and-go, no parking hunt between medieval alleys.

Free parking with us

While other city hotels charge €25/day for parking, with us it's included.

Danube cycle path from the door

Right on the international D6/EuroVelo 6. 25 min by bike to the Stone Bridge.

Quiet instead of city noise

Sleep at the forest edge, not between bin lorries and street musicians. Still breakfast in the shadow of the cathedral by morning.

Apartments with south balcony

After a day in the old town: own balcony, own kitchen, own space to breathe.

Tips from locals

We grew up here. Sven and Sophia know the Wurstkuchl loophole and the best café on Haidplatz.

Frequently asked

Directions, parking, sights

How do I get to Regensburg's old town?

10 min by car, 25 min by bus (line 6 from Sinzing), 25–30 min by bike along the Danube. We recommend the bike: nicer than the car park.

Where do I park in the old town?

Dachauplatz, Arnulfsplatz and Donaumarkt car parks are central but cost €2.50–3 per hour. Cheaper: park-and-ride with us (free), then bus or bike to the centre.

What is the UNESCO heritage in Regensburg?

The medieval old town with over 1,000 preserved townhouses, the Stone Bridge (built 1146), St. Peter's Cathedral and the historic Wurstkuchl sausage kitchen. UNESCO World Heritage since 2006.

Which sights are a must-see?

Stone Bridge, St. Peter's Cathedral, Wurstkuchl, Thurn und Taxis Palace, Shipping Museum, Document Niedermünster (Roman excavations underground). All within 15 min walk from Dachauplatz.

Is there a Danube cycle path from the hotel?

Yes – the international Danube Cycle Path (D6/EuroVelo 6) runs right past us. 25 min to the Stone Bridge, 90 min to Kelheim and the Danube Gorge.

Am I far from the old town?

10 min by car, 25 by bike. You sleep at the forest edge in absolute quiet – but breakfast under the cathedral if you wish.
